About

The Coronado AI Club is a community of curious, engaged adults exploring how artificial intelligence can make everyday life more interesting, productive, and fun. Based in Coronado and meeting every few weeks, our members—mostly in their 60s and 70s—share practical experiments, discoveries, and hands-on experiences using AI tools in ways that matter to them. From smarter travel planning and trip design to creating custom “vibe coded” apps tailored to hobbies, projects, and personal interests, we focus on real-world uses of AI that help ordinary people do extraordinary things. Whether you’re a beginner or already experimenting, the club offers a welcoming place to learn, compare notes, and discover what’s possible.

Our website extends those conversations beyond our in-person meetings through member posts, shared guides, project writeups, and discussions about both the opportunities and challenges AI presents. Public content highlights creative applications and useful resources, while member-only private posts allow for deeper conversations, candid debate, and discussion of more controversial or sensitive topics among trusted participants. We believe thoughtful exploration includes both enthusiasm and skepticism, and our goal is to create a respectful forum where members can better understand how AI is reshaping daily life—from recreation and creativity to ethics and society—while helping one another use these rapidly evolving tools wisely.
